Guys,

In an effort to help the Devs with a full scale test of the new changes, when the update is published and is live on all of the servers, please take a minute to test everything that was supposed to be changed.

Please post any confirmation that things are working smoothly, or any bugs or problems that you find out there in this thread - that way I can forward our findings directly to the Scout dev and Q to check out.

Thanks guys!

So do we have a definite timeline for when it's going to hit? Forgive me, I'm nowhere near a system that I can use to log in to SW:G - are the servers down for patching now, or is it going to go live tomorrow?

Ab,

Q just announced it will be tomorrow instead of today.

"It looks like the update will be on Wednesday."

So keep yourselves ready for the patch for one more day.

I just got done spending four hours on the test center and did't get much done. Wrote a couple of tickets and emails.

bug # 1 serverity minor (irratating)

I took a couple of delivery mission. On the first mission I was only able to target the mission npc with left mouse click. Couldn't target with a tabl or right click.

Bug # 2 serverit major

Didn't get a generic crafting tool. I went and got novice scout and novice artisan. Neither profession resulted in the acquition of a generic crafting tool. Just go ahead and buy one - works in existing galaxies (I can't wait to hear the rants and flames from new artisans and scouts when they find out that they have to buy a tool but what about new galaxies?

Without crafting tools, how does the economy get started. You can jump start it if there is someone has a tool but if nobody gets a tool who makes the first one.

Delta, I got on the station chat to try to let the DEV's know about this so they could get started quickly on a hot fix. What I got was a somewhat patronizing "Well, we always expect bugs with large code changes". Please pass the word along that kind of response does not play well. In reality the message that is being conveyed is "Of course its caca - thats what we expect". That may be true for some of the folks at SWG but not for me as a paying customer (OK - enough ranting).

You need to start with the artisan profession to get the crafting tool. Otherwise, it would be cheaper to buy novice artisan at 100 cr and surrender it than buying one for 400 cr in bazaar.

I are on Dathomir thinking id go check out some taming abilities after the patch.. (CH at 2/2/1/1) .. Well.. as a good Master Scout that i am, i put on Maskscent .. and lo and behold.. walking to close to some red conning ranchor youths i got immediately attacked.. Maskscent did NOT drop at all..

Dunno if ranchors are just mean.. or if i was unlucky.. but for now.. maskscent might not be 100% predictable..

Jim,

I agree that the CSRs can bea bit more helpful. Even dropping my Scout Correspondent title didn't help when I asked for assistance in fixing a typo in Guild name (a typo? Me? ) They said "We're not fixing names right now." yada, yada. No help. Oh well. I'll keep trying to do it at the Guild Management terminal praying that its no longer bugged.

The generic crafting tool problem - go open up a safety deposit box at the nearest bank. Odds are it'll be in there. That's a long standing bug.

Thanks for the good info Jim! Keep up the good work.

Maskscent is NOT working. Was once again attacked WITH maskscent active and going near some Purbole Stalkers. Maskscent icon stay on the whole time, no messages about "why" it attacked.. It just does not seem to work.. or at least not as it did.

I saw something about "if creature detect..blablabla. will aggro" on the patch message, but HEY.. at least give us a small chance of a system message or sumtin.. jeez.. if you sneak up on a lair now with 4 aggro mobs and a baby trying to tame.. You dont know wich one of them will attack.. ifnot all of them..

Not only gimping CH class.. but now making maskscent even MORE unusable.. WHEN WILLTHIS NERFING END..

I had the problem with being attacked, while maskscent was still active before the patch, I personally have had much more success with it so far.. THough I am on Naboo at the moment, lol.
By the way, has anyone gained any maskscent experience, post-patch? I was rolling in it before, but so far, not 1 point...

Mission rewards were badly nerfed. With pistol specialist I lose about 700 cr per mission.
