Thread: Harvesting from a dead creature types change?
I recently started to note down what resource type I get from each creature's hide/meat/bones, in an effort to get the best type from each creature.
Recently, I noticed that (for example) the type of meat from a Gnort had changed, and therefore it's numbers had changed.
is this design or bug?
I have to say if it's design, I'm disappointed. If I kill 4-5 (10?) of a creature, I'd like to know what the best resource to harvest is, rather than just taking a little of each, or worse - picking all (hide/meat/bone) if the stats on it are low. When I started, I just picked at random and ended up with 15-20 different types of harvested animal resources, most of which are not very useful. I was hoping to be able to maximize my creature harvesting....
Rufus.
Animal hides/bone/meat are considered resources and as such are subject to resurce shifts just like ore an dother resources. The stats will usually remain the same planet wide for approximately 1 week. Good luck hunting those good qualties.

Thanks for the info.
Poor me for writing down all that (now mostly useless) information. ![]()
Any tips on how to hunt the best resources, so I can craftfor quality (rather than quantity)?
Rufus.
I gnereally just take quick samples of each creature I figure I can safely attack. find the ones with the highest quality and hunt strictly that til the resource shift then rinse and repeat.
Best of luck to you

That doesn't always work. Go to Naboo and hunt night spiders. I can take out 2 of the same nightspiders and get 2 different qualities of meat. However, those are the only 2 I get. Hides seem to be the same way. If it's a day to day occurance, that just means a resource shift happened. Resource shifts affect the quality of hides, bones, and meat as well as the metals and minerals.
