Yes you can make traps in a general equipment factory. It's nice to go on a long hunt and not worry about making traps.

The other benefit to making them in factories is they take up less inventory space since they are all in a crate. You still can't stack them once they are out of the crate though.
Also be aware that factory crates can get slightly buggy sometimes, where items don't always come out, and sometimes when they do, they are useless.
I've had several traps come out of a crate that couldn't be thrown for some reason. Not sure what causes it.

I've never tried it, but I don't see why not. The manufacturing schematic is an available option if you use a Weapon,Droid, and General Item special crafting kit near a corresponding crafting station.

On the down side, each of the 100 traps that came out from the factory crate would only have one use, even though the factory used enough resources for, say, 100 traps of 5 uses each.
This is a bug with factories that has some professions about half-broken. Not sure if it's going to be fixed in the upcoming big patch or not.
