Is it true that as you progess up the hunting branch you get less xps from harvesting? Or is it only related to your weapon skill?

My situation, I have gone all the way up the explore branch and now I want to work on hunting branch. Do I wait till I have enough scout xps to get hunt 1-4 or just go up one at a time. I currently already have 20,000 scout xps that I could put towards the hunt branch so trying to find out the most efficient use of the xps.

Thanks

I have never noticed the scout xp drop from climbing the scout trees. Where did you hear this?

you have enough to get Hunt 3 now.. take it.. the bonus to hitting creatures is worth it any drop in XP gain (not sure if combat realted or scouting related) from skinning..

I have Hunting III and have noticed no decrease in XP. One other thing to remember, you have to turn in your XP when you select a skill, so you might not be able to save enough to get all the levels at once anyway.

Personally, I went with Explore 4 before Hunting 3, but that was just to get the movement bonus and the slightly increased XP from MS.

This is confusion to many people.

As you harvest creatures you gain Scouting xp. You can spend these xp to gain in a skill. Most people notice this when they are eligable for Hunting 2 and Explore 2. They go to a trainer who says he can train them in Hunting 2 and Explore 2. Once they choose to train in one of the skills, they are no longer eligable for the other and the trainer no longer says he can train them in that skill.

You are accumulating xp to spend. Once spent, you must continue to accumualte them to spend on other skills. So you are not losing xp, you are spending your available xp to learn.

actually i noticed a drop in exp as i got pistol skills, so mabee it depends on the con, or the skill of what ever wepon you use to kill stuff.

It's actually a bonus that you get to choose from two skills to learn when you reacha certain level of XP for certain skills. For instance, having basic medic skills, I focus on using my XP for the three branches on FIrst AId & Diagnostic only. I have the oprion to use it on the third one, but I'd rather save it towards the higher skills in FA & Diag branches.

bain, you have it wrong. hunting branch yields MORE harvested resources, thus more xp per kill (but weenie mobs don't have a ton of resources, so kill yellows for the benefit)

Explore branch will yield less XP from maskscent as you go up in lvls, but only from the lower lvl mobs.

example: at explore 2, kreetles give 106xp from /mask.

at explore 4, they give next to none...but you'll have enough +camo at explore IV to get mask exp off better mobs

I think Kagera got it right. I have noticed a drop in the amount of XP i get from harvesting based on the how the critters /con. Thus what used to /con as yellow when I was just a novice Marksman yeilds less XP on harvest now that I am a rifle specialist and it /cons as blue. The XP doesn't seem to drop based on the Harvesting Level.
