One of you came into the Artisan forum to let us know what you need in the form of resources in order to make your traps. I wanted to propose something that for the right minded Scout could turn into quite a lucrative business.

I am looking to hire a Scout who could survey specific resources that I need at their highest concentration. I also need this Scout to keep track of 5 day resource rotations so that I don't have to. I could feel free to set my Harvesters at the locations given to me by the Scout and fill them up for five days and not worry that the resources would dry up after one or two days. The Scout couldemail to me the Waypoints of the sought after resources as well as their 5 day rotations which they would keep track of through the Surveying Devices. I would be willing to start off with 4 different types of resources such as Aluminum, Steel, Copper and Iron. I would also be willing to pay 10k weekly for this service. If I changed from a resource say, from Copper to a Fiberplast I would pay a one time fee of 2k. If I wanted to add another one to the list I would pay 2.5k more weekly for it.

Now 10k weekly to some of you may not seem like alot, but if one of you were willing to do it and promoted the service I have a feeling that you would have quite a few 10k weeklycustomers. Many of the resource information that you had gathered once might pay off to many more than just one of your customers I am sure.

This is my idea anyway. I hope one of you will consider it. It would handle alot of the complaints and misery many in the Artisan crowd are feeling and expressing about the rotation of resources on a weekly basis. You could bring smiles to the faces of an entire profession and many credits into your pockets.

Sounds good. I think I'll start checking around in my galaxy to see if any of the artisans there are willing to make such business deals too. I'm in Tarquinas, and I haven't seen anything like this before.

Very good idea. I'm a scout but I also have surveying III. Supply the scout with the survey tool he or she needs and turnthem lose. Could bery lucrative. Very neat idea!

Darn it!!! Everyone steals my ideas...lol. I'm a master scout/lvl 4 surveyor. This is exactly what I do to make a living. Except I'm also an Artisan and I set up my own extractos as well. That way, I can just sell the resources directly to my clients at 3 cred per unit.

Anyway, it's quite lucrative.

I wish I had the time to do this, I really do! But unfortunately, I think you need someone who plays more often than I do. Great idea, though.

I thought the time period would vary depending on how much extracting's being done of that particular resource? Or is that just not a concern at this early of a date...

Anyone interested in this position yet? I sure could use them.

I will give you one word of advice. A Round the Galaxy trip costs about 20k. If you wanted the five "starter" planets, then 10k a week may cover costs. But not for daily scans. (I am not sure how resouces rotate on your galaxy, but on mine there is always something new every day.)

With that said, I am resouce hunter, and I have some serious backing. And I am still mostly broke. (Though I do get excellent equipment for free.)
