This has to be the worst, most boring part of this game.

Even with a macro, and an afk surveyor, thesurvival branch is still slow and boring.

Worst part is I have to come back every 10 minutes to disband my camp.

Well, the point is kinda to use the camps when you need them. I feel your pain though. That's why the devs are working on making this easier.

Camps are going to give out XP faster after the next update, and there are other additions to survival XP in the pipeline.

One suggestion I will make is to go and attack something you have no chance of beating, but won't DB you. Let it incap you. Then go camp. Little bit quicker when you're healing than when you're sitting at full HAMs or even with an artisan.

The title is more appropriate then you think! I got to survival III easily because I was also working my way up to Serveying IV byt setting up camp and serveying for 15 minutes. I neede the resouces and the survey xp. Once I hit Survey IV and set up harvesters for the resources I needed suddenly I realized that gaining survival xp *does* suck. I ended up power survivalling once day I neede some healing andf there was no one in the hospitol. I set up camp and disbanded and set up again 15 mins later for about 2 hours and finally got to survival IV.

Actually, what I did (and recommend my friends doing, all to good effect) was to get deathblowed and clone at a facility that doesn't have your clone data, so you DO get those big wounds. Then go out and make camps and cycle them every 10 minutes or so. I was getting max, or nearly max,camp xp (as were my friends) every 10 minutes. Also, bring out any pet or droid you have in each camp .. you won't get more experience, but you'll get that max xp faster.
