Thread: All u scouts who wanna be ch but need harvesting i HIGHLY SUGGEST U READ THIS!
Get a big group up lets say about 10-15 pps and go to endor there ull find havocs and everything from my group they killed 1 and of of it i got 1k exp no lie so get down there the lowest exp ull get off a creature is prob 200 but the highest is like 1.2k Good luck!!!!!
Good information. Endor is great place for Scout XP, if you can handle yourself out there.
One other thing though - for those Scouts out there who want to be CHs....
DON'T DO IT! DON'T SELL OUT!
I know, I know. I shouldn't actively advocate against an important segment of the population, blah blah blah.
Scouting is fun. It's an important and extremely useful skill. It is NOT a speed bump on the way to Rancorville. Don't blitz through Scout and not take time to have fun hunting.
Don't be like everyone else. I expect that CHs are going to get nerfed even further - don't set yourself up for heartbreak.
There are a lot of Scout related professions that are seriously underplayed. Ranger, Squad Leader and Bio-Engineer, specifically. The last thing the world needs is another thousand CHs running around, with their Rancors and Gurreks crapping everywhere and annoying the hell out of me.
Be unique! Be rare! Be valuable! Don't be a CH!

Hmph! You know, there are two types of CHs in my mind. Those that play for the "uberness" of the class, and those that play for fun of owning pets. I myself have always been the Ranger type in any game I play and tend to always have a wolf companion. I played a ranger in EQ and was sorely dissapointed with it. I played a Ranger in DAOC and hated it. I was even a Ranger (or whatever the equivalent was) in AO and it was boring. This time, I'll wait until they flesh the Ranger out a bit more before I jump into that mess. However, now I can have my faithfull companion (even if it ain't a wolf). ![]()
I am looking forward to the nerf that scares the majority of the CHs away. Then I'll go about providing mounts and hunting with my animal friends in relative peace.
It's good to know there are some normal, sane and non-retarded CHs out there.
I've spent too much time in PvP lately, and dealing with the CHs drives me nuts.
I do get a bit of perverse pleasure when they type their attack wrong and it gives me enough time to incap their mind pools.

rofl.... any CH that doesnt macro thier pet commands deserves to die. Lots of times, in horrible circumstances by the weakest players.....and then they should be made to wear a dress.... a pink flowerey one with little pictures of kittens all over it.
Thats all I had to say.
I don't think there is an easy answer for that. The most obvious one is that unless you request a special group to hunt specifically for you to harvest, don't count on harvesting much.
It would be nice if group leaders could control access to corpses though. Have a command that lets them set loot and harvest rights on/off per person.
I solved this in the beginning by simply not grouping.
Until this has been fixed by the Devs (the fix is coming soon, actually) the best thing is to force the group leader to make decisions about who gets what hide. If you've got a ninja harvester out there, boot him.
If he gets pissy, duel him and make him eat dirt. Although generally I found that if someone is such a coward that they're ninja looting, they've got Gnort sized gnuts and won't duel you anyway.
But like I said, an acceptable fix to this is coming up soon.

Ninja harvesting is seriously the single most annoying thing about this game. this game is intended to play WITH people, meaning in groups. However; as scouts we cannot play with people because of all the greed. When I group with people I always try and set up a hrvest order, unfortunately if the group gets too large and out of control and people who have scout ablilities dont tell anyone, the ninjas come out. Next thing you know everyone gets pissed and the fun ends.
Some people are just basically jerks and I've had to rely on soloing in order to get any harvests, unfortunately there is only so much you can do on your own. I'd like to see 2 things happen:
1) more than 1 scout able to harvest a corpse (supposedly coming soon)
2) group leader ablility to designate who harvests a corpse or at least see who did!
This whole issue is my biggest problem with the game, however, now as BE I'm finding a slew of more....I didnt know I was included as a beta tester, cool!

I try to look on the bright side - the fact that we are here for the beginning means that we have much more input on the changes that get made then a Scout that starts three or six months from now when most of the bugs have been squished.
I look forward to looking at the changes and knowing that I had some say in how they happened - especially if its one of my ideas that gets incorporated.
So, yay for "Beta 4".
As for the harvesting in groups - keep an eye out for changes in the near future.
