Would like Creatures to appear at longer distance for scouts. Makes sense to me and would be very useful. Otherwise change the name to camping creature harvesting foolio.

Chong,

I brought up the idea of a tracking system to the Devs, which accomplish the same thing as your idea on making the radar better.

Hopefully this will be a project added on later, but I foresee it being a Ranger skill, not a Scouting one.

How about reverse it as a skill ?

Instead of giving scouts better radar why don't we make them harder to see on radar ?

I'm already pretty stealthy with my all black gear.

I'll see if this is even remotely possible.

There shouldn't be changes like this for a starting profession, I don't think atleast.. this is really something that should be for rangers. (I mean look at it.. Ranger is basically a weak upgrade to scout..with 3x the xp costs or so)

You do know that you can change the range on your radar?

It defaults to 64 meters; I keep mine set to 128 meters, giving me plenty of time to notice red cons and manuver around them (if needed).

This will not help, of course, if red cons spawn right in front of you. Swoopers tend to do that quite a bit...

I think that scouts should have a tracking skill that allows the scout to have a list of creature in the area and examine them from a distance. kind of like in EQ ranger skill. I mean if we are master hunters shouldnt we be able to take a party to a good hunting ground? rather than wander aimlessly throught the forest for a good mob?

Yeah, you can set your radar out to 1 klick radius, but new creatures still don't actually show up until they're really close. You can keep track of them once they're spotted, but the spotting distance for new ones seems to be about 100m.

in my experience the same types of creatures spawn in the same general location all the time. i have find a bantha hunting ground that i visit everytime i play and whenever i show up they begin to spawn. i have also marked a mite hunting ground and a scyk one. so far the spawning has been consistent so i would suggest setting a waypoint when you come across creatures that you like to destroy and activate it when you need to hunt them. if anyone finds that this does not work for them theen let mme know. again,, so far this has worked for me consistently. good hunting.

I use the overlay map. I turn it on when I'm about 256m outside the city and leave it on. Seems it acts like an early warning HUD.
