Thread: Another Idea for Trapping
Granted scouts are more about trapping and harvesting creatures, but wouldn't it be feasible that certain traps would be used on people as well? Not sure what the downside of this addition to the gamewould be off the top of my head.... but ifI was really in the galaxy, I would use all my available skills and inventory to survive.
Why would it be impossible for me to throw a bone spur at an non-creature opponent or stick him with a lecapine or phenacine dart? Just an idea..... I'm a scout, not necessarily a marksman (I would use what I know). Plus I still think it would be cool to protect camps with traps such as "pungee pits" ![]()

This was a request I made for high level Ranger traps. For Scouts, I think we've got what we need as far as traps are concerned, but giving a Ranger a trap that can be used against people should help flesh their skillset out. Hopefully I'm not stepping on Mineras' toes here.

Artisans have harvesters, why can't scouts have a similar way of mass harvesting? Most "real" trappers would set up a circuit that they would check a day or so later to see what had been caught.... we should have this ability!

It is being incorporated into the plans for a lot of other kinds of traps and camps for the Scout/Ranger professions. I expect we'll get some specific information on our upcoming changes follow the first big update that is expected any day now.
