Thread: Um harvesting baby's Im thinking you shouldnt get exp for this
1. No risk you can kill babys one shoot and get scouting exp same as adult mobs
2. This is making it harder for CH to find baby pets.
3. How much skin bone could you really get off a baby
Im asking the scout ranger people be fair this isnt right lets show were better then others a point out mistakes in game so we have a better game in the end.
(My spelling sucks sorry)
(And Flame on)
Nem,
The next update will include a reduction in the amount of hide/bone and XP that can be harvested from baby animals. After the update, babies will only grant 1/4 of the hide/XP that they currently grant
You are right - and this is being taken care of.

hehehehe being the hard ass role-player that I am....
I don't think babies should give ANY xp or ANY resources. A responsible scout would never deplete the herd....

No risk! LoL, I have no risk now harvesting anything. The risk is in the killing, not the harvesting. Babies give no experience when you kill them.
If you are going to suggest the size matters in experience then large anmimals should give more by that example.
As for resources I think it makes since that resources should be controlled by size.
Ecad,
A man after my own heart.
But seriously though - killing baby creatures needed to get nerfed.

They don't give any combat XP - they are babies. They are significantly less powerful than their mommies and daddies, and despite the fact that a baby Gurreck, Tuck Cat, Rancor or Kimo is still pretty powerful, they are easily taken down by most scouts who are further up the food chain. Why should we get the same rewards for killing babies? The answer is simple: we shouldn't. No one else does!
The CH excuse, for me, holds no water. CHs are so **edit** powerful as it is, they don't need any help. They all need to be gathered up and thrown in a room with a bunch of Gurreks with nerf teeth.
The balance issue does hold water.
If you throw the "immersion" issue on top of it, baby creatures are inherently smaller than their parents. So why would they yield the samenumber of hides and bones? This isn't the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes here. The smaller the creature, the less to harvest. Makes sense.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
With scout as nerfed as we are dont tell the devs something that will bone us more. We as scout right now need as much help as we can get and if there going to give me the xp for skinning babys as they do for adults then keep on keepin on.
A side note I do belive that they need to up the A.I. on these adults that have these babys. I can snipe babys that are right next to an adult and they just dont care.
I agree wholeheartedly with the idea of killing every baby critter possible, I wish I could just hunt CH's. I can not tell you how many times I have been in the cantina sipping ale with my favorite entertainer when some moron CH let's loose with his smelly Rancor!! What the Crap!? Do you have any idea how much those things stink? Knowing now that killing the baby critters slows down the number of CH's there may be in the galaxy I am going to kill every baby dalyrake, tortour, and any other animal I can manage to find. In fact I would do it for free if it slows down the plague of CH's. A pox on them all!!! LOL!!
P.S. Thanks for letting me vent. I feel much better now. I think the medicine is kicking in.....
