As I sat down today to start this I discovered that it was going to be MUCH more time consuming then I had originally expected. That said I'm gonna do it in quick installments, kind of a journal of my hunting expeditions on Rori. It's my hope to turn it into a larger FAQ/Scouting Report on Rori itself. I'll update it as I gain info and IF desire arises. Today I'll be concentrating on my current favorite prey: The Squall.

Rori - Squalls

Before you start taking missions for Squalls I recomend you wait till the male of the species cons yellow. Though hunting them while the male is stronger is possible, you'll likely spend more time at it then you care to. With Males conning yellow for me currently (probably because I'm only using a Tuskan rifle) a full lair takes about 15 minutes.

Squall lairs on Rori are great for two reasons, first is their high stat payout. Trapping will rise quickly as will you're weapon proficiencies and harvesting store. The second reason is their high mission payouts. For players in the early stages they have a high credt payout and a lair can quickly be taken down WITHOUT fighting the actuall beasties. Squalls are slow and relatively simple. They do have a tendency to attack in packs, but taking on four to five at a time isn't much of a chore. They can't keep up with a scout's basic footspeed let alone burst run.

Soloing Squalls for XP is no chore, it's just time consuming.

On Rori, Squalls provide Rori Animal Bone, Bristley Hide, and Herbivore Meat. Their Stat payouts are as follows.

Sc= Scout XP, Ri= Rifle XP, Co= Combat XP, Tr= Trapping XP

Male: Sc-35, Ri-356, Co-35, Tr-90 with 12- 16 units of harvest.
Female: Sc-79, Ri-306, Co30, Tr79 with 10- 14 units of harvest.
Babys: Sc-79, with 14-16 units of harvest (patches may lower these)
Frail: Sc-40, Ri-79, Co-7, Tr-42 with 6- 8 units of harvest. Frail Squalls cannot be found in lairs, they tend to wander the imediate city borders.
Lairs: Ri-294, Co-79 with approximately 10- 14 of the first three types in each. Type quantities seem dependant on mission levels.

I took on my most recent lair solo, it consisted of six Males, six Females, and two Babys, so the XP value looked like:

Sc- 842 Ri- 4,266 Co- 469 Tr- 924 (bare with my math)

Good hunting...

I tried Rori, but on my server it was too empty to be fun.
