Thread: Where can I get organics

Ok, so I can harvest bone, hide and meat. Which I can use to make traps and camps. But I have some traps which require "organics".... I have no idea where I can get this from. I think the Glow-Juice Trap is one of the traps that requires this elusive material. So, where does it come from. Do I need another profession skill to get this stuff, should I just be buying it off of the bazaar?

Any help would be great. Thx

You can use /forage to gather small amounts of organic.

Meat, bone, and hide are all "organics". It's just a superclass of resource type, that includes critter parts, and vegetable matter (foraged, sampled, or harvested). Maybe some others.

"Organics"

This the super category that contains:

1) Flora Food (all foods)

2) Hides

3) Meat

4) Bone

You can use ANY of these when it says "Organic"

1) Flora foods

Probably should have said "Food ingredients", you can't actually use edible food as an Organic

Things like, Wild Wheat, Berries, Fungus, that are in resource containers can be used here.

Ok, maybe I phrased this question badly.

When I try to make a Glow-Juice trap, one of the materials required is "organics", but I cannot place any bone, hide or meat in to the resource slot.

hmm?

Dunno what to tell you then, other than /bug it or open a ticket, or whatever. I generally use hides in my Glow Juice traps. Always works like a charm. The caveat to this is that I probably haven't made one of those traps in a couple of days.

I mad e quite a few last night using Avian meat for that item. Also when you move you cursor over the item you want to use, check the display window and it will tell you where you can use that particular item in the recipe.

Eclipse - Visit GD Mining for all your resource needs. Vendor located at
-4175/5374 1,382m from the Theed Starport straight out the shuttle launch door.

Tempest - Visit Grock's Slice and Spice Sanctuary located in the SiN City Med Center on Dantooine. WUK's, AUK's, Clamps, Laser Knives, Survival Knives and of course spices.

/tell Grock on both Galaxies

If you select the resource in the Filter Window, it will highlight all the slots that it can be used in. Very handy.

As well, double clicking on the resource in the Filter Window will automatically assign that resource to whatever slot it will fit in.

red, the other replies here are correct. For the Glow-Juice trap you only need organics, which can be bone, hide, meat, any of the others they have listed here.

You might be talking about the Glow-Wire trap, which is a combination of GlowJuice and Wire Mesh traps. This trap requires some INorganic material. This is different then organic. The Glow-Juice trap needs metal, like alumimum or steel. This can be sampled if you have artisan, or I just buy it from the bazaar.

My problem is, I just got the new Adhesive Wire trap at Trapping 4, and it requires Polymer. What exactly is Polymer folks? If I'm looking in the Bazaar for it, I open up Resource Containers, then what sup catagory do look in for Polymer?

Polymer is a chemical (its Plasticin layman's terms).

You'll find it under "Inorganic (Chemical)" on the bazaar. Or you can use a chemical survey tool to sample it.

Really DeltaX, the Field camps don't use anything a Scout can do themselves huh? Wow. Now are those the top end Scout camps, or Ranger camps?

I have an issue with them making a Scout camp need things that they can't acquire themselves. Now I understand the artisans are like that, but for them making their items is not a "Survival" Skill. For the Scouts making camps is a Survival skill and it the skill tree is even called that. Its bad enough that they require metal in addition to bone and hide, but now it's like what does it have to do with Scouting and surviving in the wild?

Just a little rant and raive on my part. Did they convey why they are making like that?
