Thread: any tips on the scouting grind?
Same advice to read through DeltaX scouting guide.
Basically, I also am somewhat casual player, get two destroy missions for easy creatures, in the same direction. Depending on what planet you're on, those easy creatures will be different. Such as Corellian Gubbars. Slowly carefully take out each of the spawns for the first lair, shoot/punch it once or twice and stop. Now kill all the new spawns. Repeat until lair is dead. Make a camp and rest/heal and make your survival xp.
Be sure to harvest every single thing you kill. That is the only way a newbie scout makes the xp needed to advance in Hunting and Exploring.
After camping, go to next lair and repeat above. Return to town and repeat it all over again. Sort of a grind, but it's actually fun, productive, and you make xp as well as cash. In the newby levels, you might need to stop and camp in the middle of taking down a lair. I did, because I'm a Bothan and don't have many HP.
Good luck.
Grind a weapon skill, harvest resources & the scouting xp is a "bonus". :^)
Yes agree with the above. Generally, scouting abilities work well with marksman or other professions in that you can kind of get them without really grinding them (or realizing you're grinding them). Skin (harvest) everything you kill and take whatever scouting you get.. it all add's up. I still routinely kill the blue stuff because 59-69ish scouting per kill ain't much but it's sure more than what I had when I started.
Good luck!
