Thread: Camp Terminals No Longer Safe!
I posted this message on the SWG Discussion board as well.
I noticed the other day that my camp terminal now has an option to pick it up. Which is wierd. What the hell would I do with it? So anyway, last night my buddy was out hunting with me. After I set up a camp one time, he was able to pick up my camp terminal. The problem was, he couldn't put it back down. Then, I couldn't disband the camp! We just had to leave it and let it die out on it's own. This is very wierd.
Yes I've noticed this as well. You can also pick up your chairs in camp now. Of course you can't put that down either.
I swear... i think these devs are former government employess. ![]()
All,
There are some benefits to the new camp terminal pickup option. One, it lets you pick it up which means that you can disband it without having to be sitting in the actual camp. I've found this to be pretty convenient.
That being said, the possibilities for griefing are immense, and that's why until I can figure out of this was planned or a bug every scout should immediately pick up his camp terminal upon placing the camp down.

They should add a /disbandcamp command. Then it wouldn't really matter if someone stole your terminal. Still, I don't think other people should be able to pick up your camping gear. I'll get real annoyed if I have to sit on the ground because some fools picked up all my chairs. ![]()
Xy,
While having that command seems like a good idea, it opens itself up for what my friends in Boston would call wicked exploitage.
If I new that I could set up a macro, go to work and come home levelled, I'd have done it a month ago. So don't expect this anytime soon. ![]()

LOL, yep. I have a good friend I hunt with everyday and he just can't help himself. He steals the camp sign everytime. Of course he trades it back to me and I can disband the camp from my inventory.
To avoid griefing, just pick up your sign as soon as you make your camp since you can disband from inventory.
