I'm not a power gamer, so it took me over 2 months, but finally made Master Scout, Novice Ranger& Novice Bounty Hunter! This all happened last night, lol. Wow, what a rush! This wookie is happy!

Novice Ranger has some nice skill enhancements. Is it worth pursuing over the others?

The question, as I'm sure it's been asked many times before, is what's next? I have plenty of credits, but skill points are almost gone. I had to sacrifice all my Artisan skills except for Domestic 1 (I'm not giving up making food or my Generic Crafting Kit). I also gave up Novice Carbineer because Bounty Hunter has its own carbineer column. 125,000 carbineer points down the tubes, lol. Elite Carbines seem to suck, though and I still have 38K ofcarbine xp I can use in BH tree.

I gave up Novice Brawler & Novice Entertainer, too.

I have Novice Medic and First Aid 2 and I hate to give that up. Healing is quick. I also like using T21 Rifle (Novice Rifleman) and DX2 Pistol (Novice Pistoleer).

I'm also a Novice CH at Taming2 and Training 1 (soon to be 2). I love using my pets and I sure don't want to give that up. Are droids better? Do Bounty Hunters need to use droids to be good?

Also, how good is the Light Lightning Cannon? Its stats don't look so hot. Is the electricity damage what makes it better?

And finally, I'm a neutral and I'm not a member of any PA yet. Don't know if I want to be. I did all this mostly by myself and my house is in an area surrounded by mean aggro animals to keep the soliItude, lol.

Any guidance from those who walked this way before would be appreciated.

Scottie,

Congratulations! Welcome to the Master Scout club.

Since you are so into solitude, how about you get to work building a fence for the backyard? It's only a few hundred acres, so it shouldn't take you more than a few months to finish, just like Master Scout. Cept you won't need to camp as much.

From my perspective, Rangering almost forces you to make friends and join a PA- you'll need the help taking the bigger critters down and getting the camping that you'll need. So I would buckle down and pick a faction - any but the Rebels - and start meeting friends and finding hunting partners. Check out the Rangers only PA for your server - there are threads on them constantly in the Ranger forums.
