Working towards CH... I never PVP and mostly fight creatures (working on scouting xp). What is the best possible armor?

That's a matter of taste from what i understand however the only recommendation that springs to mind is from Delta's guide in which he states a preference for Mabari. Reason given is the overall balance between protection and negatives.

Being Wookiee I can't give you any personal guidance so take it for what it's worth.

Blu,

Get yourself the best made set of Mabari you can - high protection on Kinetic and low encumbrances.

I've also noticed that a good pair of Ubese boots and gloves should do the trick. Pretty low encumbrance if you find a good set. The rest can just be maborweave.

Looking to invest in some armor as a Pistoleer. Wouldnt mind getting two sets or if possible one set. But I would like to be efficient for PvE while I finish off the skill grind and eventually wouldnt mind having a nice set for PvP. I figure the armor is different since one is mainly meele and the other is mainly ranged attacks but thought I would ask. I havent studied too much on armor so though here would be a good place to ask.

Any help if very much appreciated....

i never use armor, it seems to hurt my stats more than it helps protect me. But i'm also a Doc, not master yet but working my way up, so i use a ton of stims to keep myself in good health duting battle.

i'd recommend to check out the armorsmith boards.

roughly (armortype: protects against):

bone: energy
mabari: heat
chitin: kinetic (with good 2nd stats)
tantel: energy (with good 2nd stats, but no full set)
ubese: kinetic (with good 2nd stats)

u gotta look up padded and composite, but i think they're both pretty well rounded in protections but have way more enc.

ad canadian_bacon) u as doctor should know best that u are the one who will make people able to wear armor. your (long-term) buffs will enable people to wear composite "effeciently".

buffs are the key to armor. and knowing when to equip and when not.
