Hello, I am not a scout and maybe this issue has already been beat to death, but I would like to thow it out there just in case it hasn't been suggested. If you like it scouts could get together as a community and request this idea of the DEV's

Here it is......;

As an alternative to calling pets anywhere, give all players the ability to use basic camps, no camp skill required, no certification. THEN scouts who are the only ones who can craft the camps would have a new cash crop, all players would have an indirect way to call pets, and camps would retain their value to the game.

anyway i just wanted to thow this idea out there, don't flame me too hard :-)

It has been discussed, but how gives a vrelts butt as you can now call your pets/droids/vehicles anyplace without camps.

This was likened to - Let everyone use stims without Novice Medic, or let everyone be good with weapons without Novice Marksman.

You want camps, you pay your 15 skill points for them.

Bitter, nope, laffing. I can heal in my camps, you don't have camps, you pay medics. You wait 30 seconds or some stupid time for your pet/droid/ride - I don't. It's a skill we paid for, we should not give it away.

This was proposed as an alternative to the no camp calling rule; a no-frills, call only camp craftable only by those with novice scout, with no healing capability at all.

I don't think the devs seriously entertained the idea. They were opposed to anyone calling at will anywhere, for whatever unspecified excuses they could come up with. They kept mentioning "griefing exploits" but could never articulate these "griefing exploits" in any manner whatsoever.

Eventually logic and reason won out, with a caveat: the 15 second delay, which seems to be the devs way of sticking it to everyone who called for an end of the calling requirement. There's no need for it except as another mindless timesink.

i honestly have not noticed a single difference........basically the 15 seconds are the same as the time it takes to get the heck away from a nest that isn't there!

but im still enjoying it when some cry baby comes up trying to call his vehicle in my camp because he doesn't wanna wait.....you know what i do? Pack it up and burst run away from his lazy tail.

Hakai, I had the same experience.

I was out hunting solo, torturs for the hides and creds. Beating them senseless and making decent time. Up wanders a party of 4, never saw them before, they are "blue" and I don't recognize the guild.

"Hey, can you pop a quick camp so we can call our vehicles?" Uh, guys, you can do that anywhere now (implied...dumbazzes)

"Yeah, but we are in a hurry" Like that tortur bearing down on me is gonna wait? Not to mention that lair sitting there stops my camp.

When I said I was busy, they "helped" me drop the torturs. Thinking they were griefing me no doubt. I harvested (knew they couldn't as they couldn't pop a camp) and laffed as they took out the lair for me. Not like I was there for the XP. I thanked them for the "assistance", burst ran off, popped my camp, got out my swoop, disbanded camp and left. They followed and found that they were only 300 meters from a city limits (Yeah, I like close missions). Dunno what they did, as I got 2 more missions and left in another direction.

Moral of ths story - read a map now and then, amazing what you find.

I have to agree here - the point is moot.

I don't see them reversing this, so let's work together to make our camps better.

actually i kind of like how it is now....makes me feel special that i can heal, pop out my vehicle and buzz off faster than they can stand there waiting to get out of their total 45 second delay.

oh yeah......scouts are cool!
