Thread: Live Animal Samples
They areintended to be used as a resource in a "creature habitat" schematic that artisans can use to create these things that look like unlocked containers, but you can release the creatures within and for a few seconds they fly about the room or something.
I suppose they're good for general crafting XP, but they were introduced into the game after I gave up artisan for more CH boxes.
Since the effects are totally non-spectatcular, there is no market for these things. I basically destroy the live samples as soon as I pluck them from the lair. The only thing you find in lairs worth having is eggs, which BEs can use for synthetic cloth crafting.
SioBabble is right about there being a no real market for them. However, I usually keep a few around because some the crafters I know make creature containers for various reasons (special events, advertising, etc....). These samples are usually just given to the crafters in question. While I don't make any monetary profit from doing this, the reciepents do appreciate it. I do it becauseI like helping people out. However,if you want to look at it from a purely mercurial point of view, having the customers good will is a valuable thing.
