Thinking about going this route, anyone have any comments on wether this is a good template....or relatively useless?
Of course I would try to match it with some combat skills as well; marks. or rifle.

Depends on what you want to do with it. You'll be the best friend of any hunting group - you can buff/rez and collect resources at the same time. PvP, eh. Docs are useful, but you won't do much damage.
So I'd say this would be a great resource collector template.

What could you kill to harvest? Not being a math major, how many pts do you have left for a weapon skill? Can't be too many, 2 starter masters and two elite masters - I think you ran out before the fourth master.
I agree with Brisc, good in theory, sorta useless overall except for the doctor part in PvP.
