This falls under the category of "who cares and who knows?".

Go harvest a lot of hide and bone, and don't sell any. Don't forget to throw traps too. Then once the other three trees are maxed, you will have enough to "grind" scout. Anything you have left, donate to a tailor.

Altho, quite honestly, you don't seem to be the scout type. My guess is you are prepping an alt to be a Ranger to track for your primary Jedi wannabe.

Scouts, by and large, don't look at it as grinding, and those that do"grind"don't really enjoy being scouts.

JB

just noticed how the leet and uber dood spells his name and has an add for his web site provider in his guild name, that is lame, sorry, it just is

hehe, JB will have something to say about that :-D

ANyways, yeah, if your making an alt I guess it isn;t a real scout or ranger at all, but if you must know, the answer is perhaps in teh thousands, ten of thousands. I went through quite a bit. You will level up Exploration and hunting just by getting that much resources. Trapping really depends on what level creatures you attack, and camping- well, everyone grinds camping, I'm sure there is a good guide out there somewhere.

Hey!I didn't grind camping! I am actually that weak a battler that I needed to heal that often. It was actually my first tree! (oh how I truly wish I was joking)

I didn't say track Jedis, I said track for Jedis...vast difference. TrackingJedis is tough, even BHs can't do it as well as Rangers. Tracking FOR Jedis is just boring, lucrative, but boring.

Oh goodie, becoming a Ranger. Another request for a macro to flame when l33t and Uber makes his way past scout camping.

Ah.... $5 says he doesn't, not without a macro anyhow. Takers??

For the record, I did not grind camping, as crafting did not count for squat when I did it. And I was too proud to macro camp, that and you don't learn squat doing that...as l33t and uber will find out.

T'would be a sin to actually freaking learn something about the game while playing it. Butl33t and uberwill just glide along, and ask questions without reading the stickies first, or doing any searches. I love flamebait. I only wish he was on my server, as I would find him and drag aggros into his macro camp...heh heh heh. Not that I have ever done that of course... heh heh heh. And then he could wonder why he got no XP.

whats with the cockey attitude... i think ull find that just because im new to scount doesnt mean im new to the game.... ive been playing SWG since day 1 and been on the forums since pree release forums... to be quiet frank with you you a complete git... i asked a simple question asking for a simple enuff answer. And what did you do? FLAME me....

So bloody what if you used a macro or not! The matter is that you enjoy it. I for one do not have the time to sit in camp all day just to gain XP. Like i said its an alt. Something i can do to get away from things that annoy me on my main char.

If you want to call me anoob fair be it. But if you want to see someone building a strong communiity then vsit me. Been a polotician since its release of playercities... Im now looking to go hunting. So enough of talking to me like a noob

Dude that guy is a jerk. Anyway, what I would do (I am almost master scout, hoping to master it today, and wish I would have done this) is just hunt stuff and harvest all the resources you can. While you are doing this make some camps and when you are hunting ever now and then just set up a camp and sit there for 5 minutes. Max out the two trees that you have to get hunting xp for and then finish out the camping tree if you haven't already mastered it while hunting. After that get trapping xp until you can make glow juice traps. Craft about 300 of them (I think 300 is about how many you need, no kidding) now, depending on your combat level, go find a creature that is easy. I am novice riflman and master marksman and I go after giant gubbers. Now trap each giant gubber you can over and over and over. I think I hit one with about 100 traps before it died. While doing this wear your best armor and get buffed if you can. Since I have no unarmed skill and no brawler I went unarmed to minimize damage to the gubber. Be sure to be using clow juice traps also because they are the only ones that you can trap a creature with more than once. After a couple hours you should be done with that annoying trapping xp. Hope that helps you. Good luck.

JB is JB.

He responds to threads in his own fashion. We're used to him. If you stick around on the Scout boards for more than just this one post, you'll get used to him too.

The best and quickest way to grind out Scout....is to read my guide and learn the best and quickest way to grind out Scout.

Cockey attitude - there ain't nomaybe. Jerk, probably.

Realize, macroing your way thru a profession means you are a dumbazz. You learn nothing about the profession. Tho you will say you can do it in your sleep, because that's how you did most of it. Be a dancer you want to macro, or a BH, it is expected there.

Scout and Ranger are about being hunters and staying alive, and making tons of credits if you are good at it. You get in a situation where being spam in a can - oh, armored and buffed and standing in one spot using specials - will not save your happy butt. You will be grateful you may have learned some stuff, like can you drag a Rancor into Makloks to "rub off" the aggro (why yes, yes you can - tho you would not learn that unless you tried it.) Which traps will and won't work, what weapons will work best, tactics - yeah, you can learn all of that from a macro - NOT. But go ahead and macro your brains out. The cloner will be your friend, you won't have a clue on how to really harvest big amounts, and you will continue to be flamebait.

Group dynamics will be very important after the CU. Why not learn how to be in a group now?

Learn or die. Your choice.

i havent laughed so hard... Do you know the meaning of macro? Macro: A single, user-defined command that is part of an application and executes a series of commands. Meaning for you simple mind that can only cope with single tasks - A command that is user prompted to perform meaning less tasks such as crafting traps or camps. What can you earn from crafting camps? Ok you will probably go on a big spiel of text about how every intricate piece of bone fits in the special slots of the hide to make the camp stand up.

Heres a bit of info for ya from a Qaolith Kipal: "Your a spaz, what do you learn about the scout pression by sitting in a camp?"

You can complain all you like about using macros but in my views they are a vital tool of the game. If you complained about macros so much then you would never get buffed. The ques utside starports would be endless.

Go on tell me you have never used a macro in the whole time uve been a scout or any other profession you have attempted to master. Just face it

Actually JB, like myself, fights unbuffed. In his case 100% of the time in mine 90%. So actually the answer to that question from him is probaly no.

That being said we have this thread about once a week anymore. Someone says the word, JB comes out of hiding, he and this person argue for a couple replies, its ended and we move on. These threads are getting old

actually it's about once every 2.254 days.

I got bored in class....what can i say?

Now,in response to your statement that you are a new scout.

If you had of asked for help on progressing though scout, JB would have just said "Read Brisc's guide stickied to the top of this forum" and it would have been done.

However you started with the word "Grinding". It's an instant red light and "AIRBORNE!" with JB.

Adding the word "Quickest", and "Way" along with "Grinding" in the same sentencealso wasn't too helpful.
