I'll be blunt: I hate the crafting system. There are too many variables to consider on the resources when it comes to pricing. I can understand why people like it, heck I usually love number crunching.

Anyway, I digress. I'm focousing heavily on my scout skills on my latest character sand in two days have gotten everything to tier one and am almost tier two, again in everything. And from what I've seen of camps and traps, the resource variables are irrelevent. I'd like some confirmation on that point so I don't end up screwing myself later.

Also: thus far I have had uses for bones, hides, and general organics. Does the scout line have any items that need meat or any resource a scout cannot harvest from the rotting corpses of the dead?

Yes, as you progress you'll need inorganics to craft certain items.

Just general organics or specific resources? I'd like to start hoarding now so I'm ready later.

Stink Bomb traps need meat, P.Darts need metal and Adhesive trap's need polymers (you can substitute most chemicals for the polymer).

For the polymer what did you use. I tried fiberplast (sp?) but it wouldn't work.
