Thread: Survival XP solved!
First make sure you have Novice Entertainer and Novice Medic (you can drop them later).
GET SLAIN!
Not once, not twice, like 4 or 5 times. Run your **edit** back to your corpse (put all your good stuff in the bank or your house). You should have lots of wounds now. Set up your best camp. Begin playing music. Mind wounds gone? Start healing health and action wounds. 2 days from survival 1 thru 4.

I may be mistaken, but I've found that with the multiperson camp, the most xp you can get from one camp is 800 xp. I could be mistaken, but I know that if you just leave the camp for 45 minutes, it will disband on it's own and give you 800xp. I've never gotten more than this amount, even with musicians, dancers, and medics in my camp.
According to your tactic, you're talking at least 45 minutes to heal everything back up, etc. So why bother, especially when you won't keep medic or musician. (unless that's your bag) So me personally, I set up the tent when I'm going to do something else, come back 45 minutes later, voila! 800xp. Setup a new one and do over again. Sometimes I do this when I'm tired of playing and just want to watch some tv or something.

Once I had been slain a few times I got tired of the down time in town healing. Yes healing in town was faster but that is all. So I chose a spot out of town not far from some harvesters that might have some traffic (there was none). I started healing and used a macro to shout for others to come camp. Found this wasn't working so I got the entertainer and medic to heal myself. When the camp would reach max xp it would auto disband so I would move (just for the hell of it) and set up a new camp.
Every now and then someone would hear my shouts. They would stop by, heal and so I get a short bonus (nothing to count on). I also used a macro I made for entertainer that allowed me to not have to type /flo # a million times. It lasts for 5 min, about the length of time for the camp to heal 10 wounds on its own.
All in all no where near as numbing as camp, disband, repeat. Or "Anyone want to sample afk in my camp?" Or the lets group, ohhh you're a scout too.

BTW with entertainer and medic I would hit max xp before I was completely healed so yes I would need to set up another camp. And I usually would be completely healed in about 15 - 20 min vs the 45 min like you speak of (I noticed that amount of time too). You could also set up a macro for the medic I think. I haven't done it myself.

Hey, for that tactic of leaving your camp to disband on its own...if you leave the camp can you fight without having it disband?

I'm sorry if it came accross like I left to have my camp auto disband, that is not the case. When your camp reaches its max xp it will auto disband.
To answer your question about combat. I have seen it happen both ways. Usually if I initiate combat the camp will disband becauseI have "abandonded" it. However if a mob/NPC aggros on me by no action of mine I can usually keep the camp up and fight from it.

Find a group that doesn't already have a bunch of scouts all trying to do the same thing. It becomes a battle who gets to harvest and camp.
