hi, i am totally new to this profession. i was setup originally as a marksman and just acquired exploration 1. once i have bones and stuff, how do i actually make a camp? i did not see any such macros on my list.

You need to have a generic crafting tool, boot up the tool, choose the plan for the camp and then place your supplies in it. Of it works you'll get a reading of how good it is and you just need to complete the process. This is an overly simplified explanation but I'm sure you get the point.

Optycal has it right. You can get a Generic Crafting tool from your local Bazaar. Just "use" the tool and make the Basic Camp. Now to use it, you must be a certain distance from a city. I believe it is over 1 km. I find that just doing a mission wil take me far enough away to use a camp. Also, I have found that most critters won't bother you while you are camping. I have just plopped down a camp right in the middle of where my mission was and could heal up without being attacked.

I know this might sound like a dumb question, but I just started and I have no clue how to make one. I know I need hides and bones from creatures I kill, and I got lots of it, but I havent figured out how to create the camp yet.

You need to "Craft" the tent with the general crafting tool (if you have the skillz to do so, otherwise, buy a tent.). Just use the tool, select "Camping tent" (or whatever) and add the ingredients - viola! The real trick is finding a place to deploy, you have to be WAY (and I do mean WAAAAY - i.e. walking for like 1.5 min away outside of a city, and on relatively flat ground. I don't think having creatures around affects it much, except maybe if they are hostile to you. I dunno, someone else can prob. tell you. Hope this helps.See ya around!
