got back onto Bloodfin (finally) and was running missions to make some quick cash, when i came upon a group of aggro white/cons. just got exploration 4 earlier today, and wanted to try some runs, so i pop it up, and run through the group...nothing... run circles around them... nothing... run around the outside of the entire group... still nothing. gonna test some more. anyone else have this?

oops... what i meant by nothing, was they didn't attack me, but i got no xp either

now i just had one attack me, with no break message, or anything. stiill had the icon by my name, yet i was being attacked... am i just unaware of something, or is this a real issue

/maskscent doesn't work for me. It's like I'm on fire and screaming. Everything notices me.

Had it work once or twice, but basically it is a throwaway skill. I have it in my toolbar and keep it on, but never works or gives me ANY XP.

The creature has to actually detect you before it checks the mask scent to see if it was successful or not. Keep in mind that as you go up the tree in Exploration you getbetter at Camouflage as well. What is happening it that you are camo'ed so good, the creatures don't even know to sniff for you in the first place. It just thinks you are a tumbleweed moving through its lair.

Mask Scent worksfairly often for me. I'm on Corellia, and I usually get about a 50% success rate with /maskscent. I think that that may be because I'm a Bothan, and they get a starting bonus to camoflage, because I'm only at Exploration II. I think that it also has to do with the creature that you are trying to mask yourself from. Giant Gubbers must not have a nose, because they never seem to notice me.

I've had this happen a couple of times with red cons. I ran through and through the herd and none noticed me and I received no xp for it.I laughed so hard and the silliness of this skill. It makes no sense at all.
