I've read a lot of people, ususally when discussing the prices of weapons, that making a lot of money is not too difficult. Could someone please enlighten me? I'm trying to make enough money for a probot. The only real ways I seem to make money are deliveries or crappy (low paying) destroy missions. Any tips on how to make good money wouldbe really appreciated! I'm currently on Kor Vella, Corellia, but I'm not opposed to going somewhere else if themoney is good. Thanks again for the help.

If you have any weapons skill at all you should be doing destroy missions to build up both your marksman skill and your scout skills.

Get off that rock too... move to Naboo (Theed is a great city) - the missions seem to pay betterthere.

If you find missions are too difficult for you to handle - try UN-equipping your weapon before opening the terminal ... that will lower the level of the missions you get - and ALWAYS pick two in the same general direction - that will double the amount of credits you can make in a relatively short time.

Good luck!

There are five (three, sir, three!)...three primary ways that I make money as a Novice Scout:

  1. Missions - I'll take a couple destroy missions in the same general vicinity, on creatures that aren't horribly difficult to kill (so that I can use Point Blank Shot pretty effectively if they mob me). I harvest the hides/bones/meat to use in method #2. I've also found that the missions you can occasionally get from NPCs in the field can be pretty nice too. Since I'm a jack of all trades right now, there are very few missions I can't at least try.

  2. Selling Resources - The key to being a good and effective scout is harvesting whatever you kill. Build up a stock of hides/bones/meats, and sell them to armorsmiths or medics. I have had several relationships where 100 units of resources were enough to get me 700-800c a shot. Now I've got requests for lots of 1000 (honestly, I think that relationship's dead -- I'm not skilled enough to take down any creature that will give me enough meat to make 1000 anytime soon). But there are people who will buy it!

  3. Survey/Sample - I picked up artisan to pass the time while I camp. Since camping is essential to gaining Survival XP, you've got to do it. But do you just want to sit there? Nope - grab artisan and do surveys before setting up camp. Find a spot with decent (70%+) resources, and set up your camp there. Then sample away until your Action & Mind are depleted, rest, and repeat. This gives you the added bonus of healing in camp, which increases the amount of Survival XP you take away. And...it gives you resources to sell in the bazaar.

Also, dont forget you can keep refreshing any of the mission terminals you use. I'll usually just keep refreshing it till I get two well paying missions in the same general direction. Then I just have to run out, hunt, harvest, and collect my 4000+ credits. If you're not finding anything on Corellia despite that method, hop a shuttle to Talus for a few hours. Thats where I live and you can 2000+ paralope missions that most anybody should be able to finish with a basic wep skill and you can make a bunch of credits before you head back. The ticket should only be 1000c round trip to Dearic. If youre on Ahazi pop me a tell Im almost always out hunting, if you find you need some help.

I did local delivery missions untill i had about 1K credits, then bought some cheapo armor and moved on to some easy destroy missions as my weapon skill improved, now i am making about 3K a run on destroy missions and have my own probe bot so just take it slow and you will get there with a good foundation.

good hunting to you

First, I did local delievry missions.

Then, Istarted selling hides and bones. The 1st couple went fast but now its slowed down. I offer at 5c per piece in at least lots of 100 plus the listing fee.

Then I went on a couple destroy missions (like suggested above.)

Then on the way back from a mission I stopped at Kam's and got me a purdy laser carbine. This thing gets chuba ass! I can get chubas in one shot. It cost me 7K but it was well worth it.

I also bought a mabari just piece from Jheric. Although, I'm not sure what its doing for me. I'm still wondering on the best armor for a scout, if any at all.

Not sure about your planetbut on Naboo I run imperial delivery missions from Kadeera(sp?) to Theed (would run rebel missions but I'm too lazy to find a rebel mission term in Kadeera). I usually net between 1.5k-2.k for a round robin trip. If the shuttles ran quicker, you could make money a lot faster.
