Lets say I have Survival I and am making camps. I eventually get enough XP to learn Survival II.

If I learn Survival II, will that make getting survival xp a little more difficult because I have advanced?

Or should I just stay at survival I and let my xp pile up, and then train II, III, and IV when I have the 20000 xp?

Cmon guys...any input?

Basically I am asking about the whole scout tree, and this is my question...

"Is it better to learn each skill as you qualify for it oris it better to get all the xp FIRST and then learn the whole tree at once?

Use the multiperson camp... gives me around 800 xp.

The basic camps cap at a little over 600XP, that's all you'll get from one of those camps. The multipersons cap at a little over 800XP. So build up a supply of camps, when you've capped one, tear it down and put up another.

How can you tell when your camps maxed out & should be taken down?

You can view your camps status at the little console inside the camp. It is yellow? and ususally next to your tent. I think the basic rule is that in 15 min. you top out the XP, I've had camps last over an hour if I was macro-sampling inside them. No extra XP though.

just survey for each thing one at a time. pick the one that gave u the highest concentration values andgo to the waypoint for, keep surveying for it and keep going to the waypoint and sooner or later u will get a concentration of 80% or more

You cant get 20k xp at lvl 1, you need lvl 2

get artisan novice, buy yourself a surveying tool from bazar and use it before making camp. Find a spot that gives a 80% chance to sample and sample away. I get 800 survival xp in 15 minutes each time when soloing.

Excellent! Thank you leneg! Thats jsut what I needed to know about the skill gaining/learning thing!

It just so happened that I qualified for IV just after I read this so I thought Id test it. So I made camp and sure enough...said 80 gained, but none was added in my tree! Thanks for the info!

Oh and about your tip for xp leneg...

Im real noob at sampling and things....What should I survey for when looking for the 80%?

This one sounds real good cause the most I have been able to eek is 600xp in 15 minutes with my basic camps.
