So besides reaching Master Scout and the Novice professions for this tree...what is the bonus of training in the Hunting line of skills? What type of skill or cool thing comes with this?

Honestly? Not much really. There are no cool skills or anything you get, like traps or MS. The bonuses you get are to hit bonus to animals and defence mods against animals. Stuff like that. So unless you actually do a lot of "scout" stuff and hunt animals often, it's not really worth it.

Now if you read the post someone has about "Where is tracking...." you will read my idea of a skill to put into the Hunting skill tree.

Hunting skills have their subtle bonuses. A Scout/Rifleman, for instance, can plug away with head/mindshot and when the creature comes running up just pop off a noise maker to finish off the mind bar. Not to mention it is a required skill tree for Creature Handler.
