My wife made a scout, but how does she get xp for doing things as a scout

FOr example, how does one increase the running uphill ability?

by running uphill?

In the beginning, the only real way to get scouting experience is by harvesting corpses theof monsters. With Exploration 2, you get Mask Scent, which also gives you scouting experience if it works. Mask Scent is pretty uselesswhen you first get it but does get better as you go further up the Exploration branch. Hope this helps.

Three ways to get xp as a scout

1. When you kill a creature click on the corpse and hold until the radial menu pops up. When you see harvest creature you can get hide and bones which you can later use to craft tents and traps. This gives you xp.

2. Make a camp and sit in it. When you go out as a group get everyone to visit your camp. More people= more xp.

3. Constantly throw traps when fighting creatures. this also gives you xp.

Each one of the above gives you xp for different skill branches. Traps for trapping, camps for camping and harvesting gives you scout xp.
