It's hard to tell, I noticed that too. The idea of the mesh trap is that it sticks to the critter your going for. So instead of more damage, it might manifiest it's self in hitting more frequently. (Or less misses as it were)

Are you hitting the creature with Unarmed, Swords, Pikes, and such? Just want to make sure you're checking Melee damage output, not Ranged.

The descriptions of the Wire Mesh trap and the ranged-basedGlow-juice trapyou get at Trapping I suggest to me that they increase your chance to hit, rather than your damage. If I get a chance to test this out and confirm it, I'll post it here on the Scout board.

Does the wire mesh trap work properly? I use this trap very frequently, however I have never seen it actually increase my melee damage. The on-screen effect is "melee defense down", so I assume my damage should go up. Is this the case?

I believe Keo and Zip are correct. With melee it is hard to tell because the accuracy number does not work. If anyone has glow traps though, take a look and see if the accuracy counter goes up with a blaster after the trap takes affect.

yup. i focus on unarmed combat. i'll check to see if the accuracy number goes up at all after using the trap. if that's the case, i suppose it's acceptable.
