How far can you throw a trap?

The beginning traps have a range of 25m. (if I remember right)

I've been throwing thebeginningtraps from distances less than 50m myself, so I think the 25m is wrong.

I believe they have upped then range on traps since Beta without telling us. In Beta all traps were set to a range of under 25m. Now, it is higher, at least 40m or perhaps even more. I will have to test it more to get the exact range. One of the main complaints of Scouts in Beta was traps, their range and functionality. At one point(mid Beta 3)they were pretty useless. Since then they have increased the number, types and effects of traps as well as the range, it seems.

Crap, poor choice of wording on my part. What I meant to say was that I've been throwing traps at just under 50m, and I really think that 50m is the range on them. I'm not going to be so bold as to state this for fact yet, though.

They doubled the range on traps with one of the last patches in beta. The range used to be 29 meters and it is now 49 meters.

I usually use them at about 40-50, too, since at about that range I get +30ish with my rifle kneeling.

btw, just got Adhesive Mesh, (at Trapping IV). Those things are the greatest...
