Thread: Mask Scent Need some better info please.
I've looked through the threads in this profession forum but very little information is available for mask scent. So here is what I'm asking.
1. How do you correctly apply mask scent? (Target nothing, target yourself, target a creature?)
2. When do you apply mask scent? (before entering mob zones, after, during, etc.?)
3. If you use mask scent and a creature finds you do you have to move out of the area and reapply or do you reapply right on the spot?
4. How do you get experience from using mask scent and where are some decent areas to do this for those using Mask Scent at exploration 2 to 4?
Thanks in advance.
Also,
I did try applying mask scent in an area occupied by a red baby creature. I thought it was hostile with the red tag but I got 0 experience.
5. Does it actually tell you when you gain experience for using mask scent and once you gain it do you have to reapply right away to get further experience or do you have to wait for it to wear off?
2. Apply it whenever it is not active. You cannot do so while in combat, however.
3. You can reapply it on the spot.
4. You get xp by hiding from aggressive creatures. At level 2 it is almost never going to work. At level 3 it might on a rare occassion. At level 4 it works fairly well. I am not sure how much better it is for Bothans, but I am guessing it is a significant improvement initially.
5. Yes it does say if you get experience (unless this has changed since beta). Maskscent stays active until a creature discovers you or roughly 15 minutes elaspes. As long as the creature does not attack you, you can reapply it again and usually you will want to do so.
