whats the best starting planet for a scout?

There really is none. I made three different scouts in Beta, starting on three different planets, and they all did rather well.

I enjoy Rori myself. It's very easy to traverse as most of the creatures there are docile. As long as you make good use of the radar you can get from one side of the planet to the other with no fighting unless you want to fight. I might be wrong, but it seems that the more you run around, say up big hills and over water and other terrain the more exploration xp you get. Like I said, getting from one side of Rori to the other is pretty easy, which makes for alot of exploration xp. I got 660 exploration xp last night running from Restus to Narmle on a delivery mission.

Ive ran from one side of naboo to the other and I dont ever remember getting any exp for it.

I don't believe you get xp buy just simply traveling.

before u get level 1 explore u gain exp by running up steep hills

*cough* Bull.. You do NOT gain exploration experience points by transversing hills. The exploration branch uses basic scouting experience, which you get by either harvesting dead creatures or successfully using your mask scent ability. Sorry to break it to you.
