Thread: Crafting Camps and Traps

I have been making many traps and camps, and found part of it to be cumbersome. I want to know if there is another way, or if you all agree, try to get them to change it.

When you make a trap or campyou need "EXactly" the number of bones and hides to drop into your schematic. This means before starting the building process, I have to "Split" all my bones and hides into groups of 3 hides and 3 bones. Or 4 hides and 2 bones for camps. Then once I have them all seperated, I can begin to easily craft stuff.

Are others having this difficulty? Is there a better way in game now to do this? My thought is, and I tried it instictively at first, is grab my "Stack" of hide, drop it into the schematic. My thought was it would "split" the 3 it needed, putting into schematic, and then drop the extra from the stack back into my inventory. This not only makes sence, but would make crafting a little simpler and not so many annoying steps.

I have only made traps and camps, so are other craftings done the same way? Is all crafting like this? Any help if there is another way, would be appreciated. If this is how it is, then DEVS, please look into changing this.

You do not have to do that. If you need 3 hides and you have a stack of 40, just drag the stack and it will take away the 3 from your stack.

Hmm, I don't have this problem at all, I just drag the container of bones or hides to slot and thats it. As long as the container has the same or more items in it than the slot requires. Same as any other crafting. You can't mix different kinds of hides or bones though. I did notice once in the line item view that I thinka different item was moved to the slot than the one i selected. I didn't have this problem when items shown as icons view though.

OK, well I'll try it again. Maybe I was doing something wrong, or didn't do what I thought I was doing. I will try doing the stack droping thing.

Thanks folks.

You can also double click a resource and it will go into an appropriate spot. You don't have to drag them over. It's a little quicker this way.
