Im an artisan and I have been enjoying it. However, I have only seen the inside of Coronet city so far and yearn to go exploring. Sadly, I get my clock cleaned every time i step outside the city walls. I have been thinking of taking basic scout as a second profession. It seems to compliment artisan well and indulges my desire to explore.

Anyway, can you give me some idea of what abilities i get for being a scout? It would probably take me forever to raise them so i'm more interested in the low level abilities. Also, what are your impressions so far? Is it a generally enjoyable profession?

Thanks.

I'm having fun playing mine.

As a basic scout you get the /harvest command which you can use to harvest hide, bones and meat from animals you kill.

You also get the ability to make traps that have negative effects on animals that you use them on. Different traps do different things. Some make animals more susceptible to melee or ranged attacks. Others do different types of damage.

You can also make camps, which I think are very cool looking, to help you recover from your wounds.

Additonally you get a little bonus to your terrain movement.

If you just want to explore, keep you eye on your radar. I don't find it that difficult to travel as long as I steer clear of red dots.
