You can also use meat for the Stink Bomb Trap which requires meat.

Find yourself a creature in the wild.
Vigorously apply a weapon to the creature until dead.
Harvest meat.
Rejoice.

Thank you for the help everyone, I think I've got it figured out now. And that character got wiped out by a sludge panther and lost everything, so now if you need someone to group, my name is Trysck Bedtor from Tyrena, Corellia, Intrepid.

I just started yesterday and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to use the 200+ meat I have harvested from corpses. Can anyone help me with this? Also, if anyone wants someone to group with, my char is a Zabrak name Arbac Bedtor (or something like that. I random generated the first name) and I can be found roming Corellia on Intrepid. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can do anything with it, as a pure Scout. Sell/trade it to a cook or a medic, maybe?

Consider harvesting bones and hides instead of meat, and using them to make traps and camp kits which you can use and/or sell.

Meat counts as "organic", in terms of crafting. So if you have a side profession like Artisan (to craft food), or Medic (StimPaks), you'll be able to use meat for many different recipes.

The Glow Juice Trap can use meat as a component. If you don't have meat, you can still make the Glow Juice Traps with hides and bones.
