Hermit Spiders show up on the radar as red (Aggro ifI am not mistaken). I used Maskscent on them the other day (Explore 2 I know but bare with me) nothing happend untill I attacked. They did not discover me, nor did maskscent say it worked. Of course it failed when I attacked. Has anyone else had this problem happen to themselves?

Attacking a creature while you are maskscented (is that a word?) will automatically trigger a check. Otherwise, walking in the vicinity of an agro creature may or may not trigger a check. The longer you are in the area and closer to the creature you are the more likely a check will be triggered.
