Just make Mask Scent require a "Musk Pouch" to use. You can then lower the time between uses to something more like what Medics have for healing. Musk Pouches would be made with Meat and Hides at maybe a 4/2 ratio like starting traps. This would give Novice Scouts a reason to harvest meat. An option to make higher quality Musks at higher levels would be good, but not necessary. I think XP gain for a successful use doesn't have to be implemented as long as changes like this are made.

My maskscent petition received over 750 responses from people who felt almost unanimously the same way I did. There has been no developer response to date. I think, for me personally, that took the heart out of this debate.

You kidding? Developers don't read forums, those are for people who don't get paid pantloads of money for making games.

What about nerfing maskscent such that you can only get Xp from it 1 time every 5 or 10 minutes, but it will have a higher, but not perfect success rate?
Or you could just nerf it so if you type /maskscent you instantly die.

too complicated...
just make the 1 min timer start from when you apply /maskscent rather than from when it ends
