I have hunting and exploration 2, and just made enough scouting XP to get level three in one of these skills. I'm kind of sick of having to kill everything in sight, and wondering if either hunting 3 or exploration 3 had the advantage over the other in terms of improved skills and the amount of scouting XP I'll be getting. Can anyone more advanced than me offer some advice?

Go with Exploration III. It grants a greater mod to Camo, therefore making your Mask Scent more reliable. This way you can put Mask Scent up around aggressive creatures for additional Scout xp. Hunting only increases the information you can read upon Examining a creature and the amount of resources per harvest.

Personally I am taking Explore III. I just hit this point myself, and I think it is the better option. You can get some decent scouting exp with maskscent, and it will work lots better at level III than it did at II. I was getting 280 exp from Bocatt's on Tattoine.

Otherwise Hunting III just means you will get more resources. I think the exp gain is going to be quite a bit better with Expore III than hunting.

My next skill will be Hunting III before Explore IV, unless of course I find that the MaskScent exp is making me a LOT more exp than harvesting. However according to most of the threads I have read, it will just be a tad bit faster than harvesting!
