There was a recent hide rotation. All new spawns give different (named) resource then they used to. They are the same type leathery is still leathery, but look at the properties, it should give you the new name of the resource. You can not combine hides with different names.

On Naboo I have been killing gnorts and getting 5 different kinds of hides from the same lair type or the same lair. Same is true for the other animals. At least the chuba types drop the same 5 kinds of leathery hides that gnorts do. I would like to build up enough of one type of hide to have someone (like me) make a run of traps or camps on a factory. Not possible unless you can get stacks that are over 800 unless you want to do a shorter run. The bones arent as bad but i just got a second type of bone off the last ikopis i killed. (that my reflect a resource change, though) The other aspect of this is my pack and me are getting over loaded. I have 14 types of hides from basically 4 creature types. I dont even take hides from fanned rawls or narglach cubs, just bone. And forget meat. Only take insect meat from spiders. There are 2 kinds of that too. both from nightspiders and hermit spiders. Either will give both. This is a problem with the loot tables and I wish it would be fixed.

I'm not sure but I think it is because each type has a different "quality". I don't know why it is done this way, and maybe it is a mistake, but each time I get different types of hide (leathery, wooly , whatever) they have the same quality. So all of my X-type wooly hide has a 700 quality rating while my Y-type wooly hide has a 445 quality rating.

I recommend using up all the low quality ones on making traps and camps, also make sure you say your hides are XXX quality when you sale them.
