It would be nice if you could fish from a camp. Whenever I try to, I am always too far away from the water, and no matter how close I get to the water to place the camp, it's never close enough. (Within 2 meters)

Yeah - the Rangers have figured out a way to do it with one of their camps, but the Scout camps don't seem to let you. There's a way to do it, but I can't recall exactly how. Hopefully someone else here can.

I have fished from camp before (at least before the patch). It helps if you can find water that has "fingers" of land sticking out into it. If you stand on the "finger" you should be able to set up campthere, resulting in the camp essentially being set up in the water. Then you can fish away. It looks kind of goofy, but it works. I did this with a Multi-person camp.

I've been having trouble with this too... it seems that if I'm too close to water, the camp is created so that there is like a radius around it that you can't fish without stepping outside of. Ick. Survival xp bites.

Also having trouble with bait; I foraged for a Long, long time and finally found some, but then when I fished, it eventually got used up, and then I ran out of chum. I must have gone through at least 10 chum bait without catching anything. What a pain.

Ah well, almost to Master...
