Thread: Exclusive Master Scout Imperial Faction Perk
I've brought this up before on the GCW board, but I wanted to present it before a Scout community too.
What would you think of having the Scout Trooper armor available as a faction perk exclusively for Master Scouts? It would cost much less than the regular Stormtrooper armor and be less protective. What it would have would be some kind of Mask Scent bonuses to make it more useful to Master Scouts.
Personally I find the Scout Trooper armor to be the coolest looking armor in Star Wars and I would love to be able to wear it in-game.
So whether you like the idea or hate the idea I'd love to hear what you think about it. This game really lacks when it comes to uniforms for both Rebels and Imperials and more uniforms based on your faction would really boost the Star Warsyness that the game needs.
This is an interesting idea, Ragnoan. I'll endorse it.
Let the rebs have those outfits Luke and Leia were wearing in the speederbike scene on Endor!
Rag,
I think it rocks as well, and I'm going to add it to my list.

Oh that just made my day. I'm glad that I'm getting some positive feedback from my fellow scouts on this proposal. And DeltaXi65 supporting it is a real honor. Thankyou to everyone who endorses this idea and I think it would be an excellent addition to the look and feel of the game.
well of course Delta's gonna support it....he's a bloody imp!!!! *grin*
gotta get back to the Graul stall!
*rushes off*
the only condition is that rebs get their exclusive armour as well!
but why stop at scouts? how about some of the other professions get exsclusive armour too (different to scout armour tho) it would be a slight bit better than those crappy ....has mastered the ???? profession badges

I'm fine with Imps getting this so long as thereis somesort offaction basedperk to Rebel scouts as well. The only twoRebel "suits" that would deal with being"in the elements" are theHoth cold weather gear and the Endor camo suits. Both aresituational, although the Endorsuits wouldn't be out of placein most of the game's "wilderness". I don't knowexactly howwearable containers areimplemented, but maybe instead ofbeing armor (or be very light armor), certian pieces could hold extrainventory items. I'm not talking about a lot, like +2 for the boots, +4 for the pants, and+10 for the vest.
I know there the database issues might makeextrainventory slotsa hard sell, but I'm just trying to think outside the box. However, it doesn'tneed to be armor, or even clothing, just something factional for Rebels as well.

Actually when I posted this one suggestion I posted similar suggestions for Commando, Pikeman, Artisan, TKA, Ranger and Marksman. Go check out those threads you might find them interesting!
I love this idea!
I bet this will pass or fail the dev test based on whether there is the capability for "Armor Certifications". Right now, they can check your faction when trying to wear armor, but I haven't yet seen them check your profession/skills to see if you can wear armor.
Also, it takes a lot of work to add new clothes to the game, soit wouldn't be a quick fix to add stormtrooper scout armor.![]()

The scout troooper armor is already in the game though. How hard would it be for them to switch it from being on NPCs to being in the game for players to use?
Rag,
I asked them the same question about the Imperial Command Cap.
Apparently, it is.
Because you've got to deal with every body type, size, etc.
But it's on my list.

Oh okay, I hadn't thought about it. Thanks again for taking an interest into my post.
