I am a scout who has trained in all 4 skill columns and needs the apprentiship XP to master. In order to accomplish this I have to hang around in cities and hope someone will ask me to train them. I find this extremely boring sitting around trying to find others to train. I am quickly losing interest in the game because of this. Is there no way around this requirement?

No, my friend. You need to train folks in order to hit Master.

If not making Master Scout is causing you to lose interest in the game, you need to set a higher goal and start working toward that. If you do, and you make AXP a priority, but not your definition for "having fun", I guarantee it will both go quicker AND you'll be enjoying yourself more.

Don't hope, spam your offer to train. Let people know what you have to offer. Many people are grinding and need training.

Quite often people are dropping skills to grind new ones. It's those people, who have big time XP and are dropping you want.

example - I had 10k in medic. So what I did, I dropped my one medic skill, found a buddy who needed AXP and let her train me in some low level stuff over and over and over. 10 times in fact. She gets AXP, I lose nothing except some XP I can get easily again.

If you stand around and don't tell me what you need, I can't help.

Put the skills you can train in your bio, so people can see them, turn on the "Helper" flag so more new people talk to you.. hang out near public NPC trainers of the skillset you have and spam the offer whenever someone comes close.

I recently helped out a guy who wanted to grind out entertainer, he macroed my hair color over and over in the imagedesign branch and went and got leveled in each. Then I macroed on him and each level I had him train me. That got him the AP he needed to break the limit. We could easily have dumped my skill branch and done it over and over... the two of us going from 0 to 4 in that branch took only about 3 hours real time.

Try setting up a /yell macro telling people what skills you can teach them, for example:

/yell teaching scout 4-4-4-4, marksman 0-4-0-3, medic 3-3-3-4. etc..... send /tell to <insert character name here> as I need ap. (free)

use this at shuttleports, starports, cantinas & medical centers.

/yell macro is the easiest way to go, try it in front of the starport in coronet. The scout trainer is right there so you'll get people. Took me about 2 hoursbut I made my 620 AXP.

another good idea is to go on a big hunt somewhere like dathomir. i spent 8 hours in a group of 20, hunting rancors. every now and then someone needed explor 3 or trappign 2. sometimes i did the training but with 3 other master scouts and a few fellow rangers, i probably passed up WAY more than i got. still made +300ap tho...

Thanks for all of the input. Each suggestion helped some but what finally got me all the AP I needed to master scout was offering to pay others to allow me to train them. This got me what 10 days of spamming alone couldn't touch. (Why do I feel so dirty?) Anyway, I'm not gonna wait until I'm 4-4-4-4 on Ranger to start getting more AP, that's for sure.

Congratulations! Welcome to the Master Scout club.

Well, since you're broke from paying people to get you your AXP,I won't ask you for your dues right now. But you know, you could always work them off. We've got a lot of Master Scouts in the club now, and I just HATE doing dishes. You know what I mean? Yeah...I thought you did. Those dishes don't wash themselves.

Glad to hear you're going Ranger. Still one of my favorite professions.
