Thread: Harvest meat macro problem.

I am having problems with my harvest meat macro. This macro was writen some time last year, but the past day or two it has started acting up. My harvest hide and bone macros seem just fine though. My macro is basically /harvest meat; /loot; /deathblow
Now when I use it, I get the, "You may only use /deathBlow on incapacitated player targets." message, and the "You find nothing else of value on the selected corpse." message, but I am getting this for the harvest, "You cannot extract resources from Meat in your current state." The normal failure message is "You cannot extract resources from corpse of (creature) in your current state."
Anyone else ever run into this problem or have a fix? I am a master BE, so meat is my prefered harvest.

You dont need /deathblow. Since thats a PvP only thing. Take that out and the rest will work.

And check your distance to the corpse. Anything over 15 m and you get the "you can not..." message. I can literally stand inside a corpse of some of the larger critters and get the message, as I am 16 m from whatever/where ever the creature is targeted.

I have been using the macro forever, so /deathblow shouldn't make a difference, but I did try taking it out and changing the order, but nothing seemed to help. I even tried removing both the /deathblow and /loot and I still got the "You cannot extract resources from Meat in your current state." This is standing 1m from the target. Manual harvesting works, as do my bone and hide macros. It is just strange that the meat macro is acting up when it has worked fine for so long.

This may sound weird, but put a /pause 1; between the /harvest and /loot commands. My macro is /harvest meat;/pause 1;/loot; and I've sometimes I see feedback for the loot message before I see the feedback for the harvest message.
Also, get rid of the /deathblow message. It's unnecessary.

Do you have a pet or droid whose name begins with "meat" nearby?

It might be because you are still in combat. You can only loot corpses when in combat, not harvest materials.
Also, you may be blind, stunned or... erm... another one of those states that prevents you from harvesting.
