Higuys,
I was just wondering (not that i REALLY care, but i like to understand things :smileytongue
how the "creature harvesting" skill was working.
Yesterday evening, i had just taken scout up again and hit hunting II (my total "creature harvesting" skill at that time = 30)
When harvesting Female Mamiens : 31 hides, every single time
When harvesting Male mamiens : 35 hides, every single time
Now the night goes by and i hit Hunting III, get the teach, and come back to where i was (my "creature harvesting" skill at that time = 35)
When harvesting Female Mamiens : 41 hides, every single time
When harvesting Male mamiens : 45 hides, every single time
So for 5 points in CA skill, i got 10 more ressources from harvesting the same mob...but whats the rule?
Is it just "skill mod *2" meaning my +5 in skill ended in a +10 in hides harvested (but i doubt that, or a master ranger would get a BUTTLOAD of hides from those puny creatures :smileyhappy
Is it a %? (but then, which one?)
Anything else ?
Sorry if this has been adressed already, i looked up to the 3rd page of this forum and the ranger one and didnt find an answer

Isoas,
To be honest, I don't think anyone has really done the math.
There are a lot of variables that go into the equation, namely:
Creature level, "size" of the creature (skinny, medium sized, health), your creature harvesting mod, and if you are grouped or not.
I believe it is probably some factor of your level *2 divided by creature level or something similiar. But that's just me speculating.
Any math whizzes out here who can answer this?

I'm sure I can figure out the equation, I'll just need to go out and get a few datapoints, or if some others have additional data like that provided by Isoas we can use those (skillmod, type of creature, health of creature, hide/bone/meat units harvested, if in group or not).
