Thread: Another dumb harvesting question ;-)

ok, ok, i asked a dumb question yesterday, lets shoot for another one today (i'm coming back to scouting from a looooooooong retirement, so bare with me 
)
)The situation :
Wednesday
Me : Hunting III
Solo group
But alone to hunt
Male mamiens : 45 hides - every single time
Female mamiens : 41 hides - every single time
Yesterday
Me : still hunting III
Solo group
But hunting with a mate
Mate : Hunting IV
Male mamiens :21 hides for me, 23 hides for my mate
Female mamiens :20 hides for me, 21 hides for my mate
*has a headache*
As stated yesterday, when i hunted alone on wednesday, my harvesting went from 35 hides/mamien @ harvesting II to 45 hides/mamien @ harvesting III with a skill mod difference of +5 between harvest II and III
Yesteday, the guy that hunted with me had harvest IV (skill mod difference between him and me : +10) but still only got 1-2 hides more then me for same mobs ???
*has aworst headache*
On a sidenote, if i understand it well, we only got half of what i was harvesting alone because we were 2 hunting together?

You lose 40% of your harvest when grouped.
If you are in a solo group, and drop the group after you take the missions, you keep 100%. Stay grouped, you lose 40%.
Used to be, grouped with a pet was a 40% loss. No more.
I am guessing you dropped the group the 1st time but kept it the second time. If not, then maybe distance is a factor. I don't know if solo grouping is affected by distance, meaning if no members are within X meters you get your 100% back again. Maybe it is. Someone with more time than sense want to figure this out?
And yeah, the percentages suck as to more harvest per level.
