I wound up actually buying the resources I needed and grinding out practice camps while sitting in a real one. If you have access to the materials it makes it go SO much faster.

i found the best way was to sit in a multi-person camp and craft Adhesive Mesh Trap (tapping4) as these give better XP than crafting camps. then every 3-4hrs disband camp and put a new one up. while you continue to craft traps.

Camp xp maxes out after about 15 minutes, so you can disband and regen a camp quicker than once every hour or two.

Camps poof after 51 minutes.
Camps max generally in 20 mins, even lump ona log sitting there picking your nose.
Macros suck - they waste 31 minutes.
If you have half a brain, and I am guessing...anyhow - if during your scouting/harvesting phase you were actually harvesting, you may have had an idea and saved some stuff to craft camps/traps with for the camping phase.
Craft in practice mode - you get an XP bonus and your inventory does not fill with non stackable camps/traps.
Or, even better - QUIT SOLO CAMPING AND GO HAVE FUN. Get with a hunting group, not solo morons, a real group, go out and hunt stuff, and camp to heal/bs/take a break. It's fun and you may actually enjoy the game for a change.
And I thought getting rid of the BHs would stop the dumbazz q's about camping.
Hakai - toss me a rice ball -- please.

Wrong, it depends on what type of camp and what you are doing. If you are healing, the camp will max out faster than if you are just sitting there doing nothing.
You can use a camping macro, but each camp will last 1 hour before it auto disbands. I have a mcro that will do this if you want it.

I fully agree with this, but the only problem is....to find a real hunting group nowadays is almost impossible, and to find a hunting group who isnt buffed and have time to sit down in a camp is even harder to find.
After buffs have been so common, there is almost no need for healing, camps etc etc people just wanna do the hunt as fast as possible.
Im going for master scout and master ranger....and I think this is really gonna take time =(

Luckily, the higher the in the Frontiering you go, the more XP you get from a camp. I can max out a Base Camp in about 35 minutes by just sitting there, crafting more traps. Ranger is fun though. Don't fall into the mistake I made about not using traps that much. You need close to 200K trtapping XP to master Ranger. Start early and you won't be where I am right now trying to grab another 53K trapping XP so I can master ranger.

Can't find a 'real' hunting group? Form one!
You've got the skills, you've got the voice, get to the bank in Bestine, the town centre in, well, pretty much any big city and holler that you're forming a NOVICE scout hunt party.
There are plenty new players there who are wanting to get into a big hunt party but aren't sure of their abilities yet, haven't earned enough to spend on buffs, armour and the bus fare to Dath. So take them out hunting mountain worrts, squill, whatever is local to you and gives decent XP.
THEY gain experience and XP, get to work in groups and are protected from scary critters by the sheer volume of CDEF fire.
YOU gain xp from popping camps, harvesting, mask scenting, trapping. By the way, lobbing a trap in is a good way of indicating which animal in a pack you want everyone to shoot at.
The novice meds will have a field day healing too, lol.
What's the worst that can happen?

Ok here's an idea: STOP CAMPING! lol............go fishing!!!!! Instead of spending resources and time crafting camps you can spend time GAINING resources that you can get decent prices for. I spent a little over an hour last night fishing and I got 3500 XP and about 400 units of fish that I can sell for between 30-50 CPU. Sure its not as profitable as hunting bantha but its a little more interesting than sitting in camp crafting all day.
