Yeah, you are getting Ranger on an alt to help your main do the Hero Quests or the Jedi Trials. And youhave to master Scout first - we know.

You will master Scout only because you have to, probably never leaving a starter planet in the process. You will then only do the Tracking tree in Ranger, to assist your other character, or if you are really nice, the rest of your guild, in doing the quest and the trials.

Good for you - welcome to the new influx of people entering the best two professions in the game. Please do not mess with our chosen professions, we like them as they are, and have already asked for many changes.

Please read the stickied guide at the top of this forum. Delta just answered 99.9% of your stupid questions. Then read the manual, either online or hardcopy, about tracking, so you don't clutter up the Ranger forum with stupid questions. The questions are stupid because - the answers are in the guides, and/or a basic search would find the answers.

Questions will be answered - no flames even - if you have done both of the above. Honestly, answering the same questions about camping macros get old - same with traps. How someone can't master traps in 2 hours is beyond me, the easiest line there is to master, is beyond me

I keep scout just to get enough of the resources I need. I dropped it to go CM for the 4th time, but realized how much I missed going out and hunting.

I've been buffing some of my ranger friends for free, and I truely respect ANYONE who can grind out ranger 'alone'. I've met many more players, and much cooler players as a doc/scout than I ever did doing the whole PvP thing. I have characters on 3 servers, 2 of which I play more regularly... and the PvP situation is more grieving, drama, and pain than it is worth... The hunters, scouts, rangers... whatever you want to call them (the TRUE hunters, that is... not the ones who are just grinding for the sake of grinding) have been some of the coolest people I've met on this game. Don't get me wrong, I'll likely go back to pvp -- but my alts are crafters who can't succeed in killing anything but themselves...

Oh, and BTW... if anyone plays on Shadowfire and ever needs anything (from healing to just having someone to keep ya company in a camp) -- send me a tell. I'd love to head out hunting, and while I'm not much use... I can buff and revive
