Thread: Another Use for Creature Handler
This one is for Delta *grin*
I am on my way to Master Ranger and I have always wanted Creature Handler as well for one reason - TROPHY HOUSE! When I hit Master Ranger (though Master Scout is just as good for this) I am going to treat myself to a large house tucked away in the Hills of Talus and fill it with display animals from all the planets I've run across (literally). All this requires is the "Taming" branch of Creature Handler, which is by far the most fun. I already have a list of my favorites Creatures... and I haven't made it to all the planets yet! If anyone on Radiant has already thought of this send me a /t I would love to check it out!
So Scouts, don't get turned off CH too much by all the killing machines out there. There can be more to the class than just battle! Some other quick ideas: Zoo-keeper (you can charge admitance on your house), Circus (team up with some Entertainers and have your creatures do tricks at PA Hall parties), Home-decorator (same idea as trophy house, but other people's houses).

Vorpaks,
I prefer "Target practice".
And actually - the best professions for trophies is Bio-engineer. They can make the critters and they don't go to your datapad - they are items until tamed. So you can drop em.
They look great in my house.

Only thing is though, if I understand correctly, you cant drop your pets in your house. Only BE's can do that with their clones.

You are correct Delta, a Bio-Engineer friend of mine laughed at me the other day. Darn! I dunno, making a creature out of a test tube? Just doesn't seem very trophy-like to me - though some of the bio-engineered creatures are very decorative! I guess I'll just have to collect fish trophies instead. Lol, hours of "tug up" and "small reel-in" here I come!
- Paks
Ah, but yuo can have trophy Bugs in a Jar. Or perhaps grubs? I'm confident that a skill will be added to the game (taxidermy?) that will allow what you are talking about. However, I believe it falls more in line with Ranger/Scout than CH.
Personally, I'd rather have it so that you can mount the head, or have the creature frozen in an attack stance. That'd be better than just standing there like a putz.
