1: When I am holding my Laser Rifle and click on the Explorer mission terminal, I usually get to chose from Veermoks (?), Queen Hermit Spiders, Bull Motts, ect. missions. When I use the same weapon on the regular mission terminal, I get Ikopi, Flewt, Nightspider, Hermit Spider missions. Am I doing something wrong or are the mission terminals not in line with each other? I assume that they would yield the same mission creature types for the same skill level/weapon combo. I know this is not the case in practiceunless I need to do something odd like stand on one foot and hum the theme to Friends while rubbing my belly and patting my head.....maybe?

2: As I go up the Rifle skill chain and get more rifle accuracy and speed ( +50/+25 about at the moment, I feel that i am still at a similar skill as when I started. I mean, I can shoot and hit with a better weqapon ( certification ), I can shoot and hit bigger game ( skill related ), but I am still at the same disatvantage at the same ranges. One would think that after shooting a target at 60-64 m that you would gain some skill there and shooting a target at 0-5 would also cause a gain in accuracy there as well. I just feel that, just like any other skill that you learn and master in life, that the skill becomes easier to do even in extreme circumstances. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

Side note:Why is it that when I take a Kapaa ( ? ) mission and kill males and females, I get no credit towards the completion of the mission? Must the names beexactly the same?

Anyway, if anyone has a solution to 1 and maybe some sympathy or guidance for 2, I would very much appreciate it.

Yes, the names must be Exactly the same.

I had this problem with the first explorer mission I took too.... Womp Rats are fairly rare on Tatooine, it turns out. There are lesser, greater, cities, varigated, mutated, desert, greater desert, etc varieties of womp rat all over this ball of sand I call home, but just plain old Womp rats are rare.

On the other hand, if you have no skill in hand to hand, just unequip your weapons, and take missions to cap 45 newbie critters that pop by the dozens around town. Take 2 missions, for 2 different kinds of creature, and run around the countryside, happily shooting anything that moves, and in about half an hour you have made about 8k, if the force is with you and the spawns cooperate. Plus, in killing so many blue creatures, and harvesting the hide, you build scout xp quicker than you'd think getting only like 30pts per kill. It's boring, but at least you get paid for grinding. I personally think it's kind of silly to make a 'explore' mission involve killing tons of wildlife-- they should instead tell you to find one rare creature in a remote area, give you a general waypoint, and off you go, mission complete when you target the creature.

Explore missions would be even more fun if we had a way to actually track the creatures we are supposed to be slaughtering as well.

If they want to make these 'hunting' type missions, they should instead let it be through an NPC at a guild hall, and make the creatures drop something as loot that stacks-- like ears of the various creatures. Then, when we have collected our 45 ears, we go in, and claim the bounty on the creature-- some cash and hopefully the same amount of scouting xp that we would have got off 45 indifferent harvests of that creature, thus effectivly doubling the scouting xp for doing a scouting type mission.

Guys,

I've brought up the idea of giving Scout XP for successful completion of an explorer mission.

IGN's answers are (again) correct. You're saving me all kinds of time! Thanks.

While the Explorer missions may seem a bit out of wack, take a look at the payouts and you'll understand why they're harder.
