Thread: is harvesitng working for you??

i went to lok last night t get some leathery hide and i was in a group fighting and every time a animal died i coulden't harvest anything, do i have to be master looter to harvest or is this just a bug??

Or it could have been shifting. It would have lasted several minutes of not being able to harvest

It sounds like a bug. As long as the creature you were harvesting has the resource type you are going for (you won't be able to harvest hide if the animal only has meat for example), and you have novice scout you should be able to harvest.
A couple questions:
- were you using a macro?
- what level were you and what level were the creatures you were fighting?
- what level scout/ranger did you have?
None of these should affect whether or not you can harvest, but they are useful when trying to pin down what is happening. So far there has been a lot of reports of harvesting acting strange since the CU, but nothing really stands out as the cause yet.

I had a problem earlier, too. I had a macro that looked like this:
/loot all;
/harvest meat
From what I was told in the thread that I started, /loot sometimes breaks the harvest command. I changed my macro to look like this:
/harvest meat;
/pause 1;
/loot all
Now it works fine.
/loot all;
